It continues to be business as usual at an illegal, makeshift kiosk in a field overlooking St Peter's Pool, with the owners reaping the profits over the summer period. When contacted, a spokesman for the Planning Authority would only say that an enforcement notice had been issued and that a daily fine was imposed. The Times of Malta reported on the illegalities in July, which led to an enforcement notice being issued by the PA within five days of the report. Yet, despite rumours spreading in the area that enforcement action was expected on the numerous illegalities plaguing the area, no action has been taken yet. The enforcement notice was served to Carl and Rose Bonnici. The kiosk, built around the rubble boundary wall of what is supposed to be an agricultural field, continued to expand its services. Apart from food and beverages, the kiosk also advertises taxi rides through hand-painted signs plastered around the site. The field is also used as a car park, where a €2 fee is charged for every car and no receipt is given.
