The PN has said that the methods used to remove John Role from his role as team leader at Agenzija Appogg confirms the "destructive way that government operates".
He told this newsroom that he was not dismissed or suspended from his work. "I took the decision and asked to be seconded to work in another agency because I felt that I could not continue my work with Foundation for Welfare Social Services (FSWS) where I felt unwanted, mistrusted and where I had to struggle hard for the past two years."
"In every action government takes, there are victims, and in this case the victims are fostered children."
"The interview also confirms that Social Solidarity Minister Michael Farrugia's false statements. Two years ago Mr Role was removed from his position, and the minister had said that he had nothing to do with that decision. Today, it results that Minister Farrugia knew of all the decisions being taken within the agency." This isn't the first time Mr Role left the agency. The decision taken two-years ago to remove Mr Role two years ago was withdrawn as families petitioned his reinstatement, the PN said.
"This vindictive style used by government is reflected in almost all government ministries and departments, with competent persons in their respective sectors being removed so that others who are less qualified but close to the corrupt Castille clique take up those positions "
The PN insists that government change its attitude, and instead of taking decisions in the interest of the "corrupt clique", take decisions in the interest of Maltese and Gozitan families.
"The government must keep its pre-election word, that 'you might not agree with us, but can work with us.'"
