Foster Care team leader John Role has stepped down from his position at Agenzija Appogg, PN MP Robert Arrigo revealed this evening in Parliament.
The PN MP mentioned that Mr Role is on the International Foster Care Organisation Board.
He said that everyone who has worked in the fostering system knows how capable Mr Role is, and said that he has had to bow his head to people who wanted him out.
He spoke of Mr Role's contribution to the fostering system on the island.
In response, Social Solidarity Minister Michael Farrugia said that if he is given permission from the person concerned to say why disciplinary measures were planned to be taken against him, then the minister is willing to "reveal all." He said that while he does not have permission however, he will not say what happened and why.
