An Italian man was placed on probation after stealing DJ equipment from Liquid Club in Gharghur.
The theft took place on the early hours of Sunday 29 January between 12am and 6am.
Alessio Scano, 41, from Turin pleaded guilty to the charges and cooperated fully with the Police.
The stolen item, a Pioneer DjM 900 NXS2, was returned to its lawful owner.
Mr Scano was represented by legal aid lawyer, Dr Patrick Valentino, who informed the court that the accused was a first time offender, a Maltese resident, and held gainful employment on the island.
Magistrate Josette Demicoli took this all into consideration when sentencing the man to 18 months probation.
Inspector Roderick Spiteri appeared for the prosecution.
