PD Leader Marlene Farrugia to contest on 5th and 10th districts

Partit Demokratiku Leader Marlene Farrugia has announced that she will contest on the 5th and 10th districts.

The PD leader, whose party forms part of the Forza Nazzjonali with the PN, recently challenged Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to a debate, after he announced that he would also contest on the 5th district. She has since called him a coward for not directly accepting her challenge

In a press conference revealing the PD candidates and the districts they will contest, she said that PD candidates have now submitted their nominations. Her partner, former PL Whip Godfrey Farrugia told this newsroom earlier today that he has yet to decide whether or not he will contest this election as a PD candidate.

Candidates have up until tomorrow to submit their nominations.
