A 61-year-old man from Zejtun suffered grievous injuries this morning after he was assaulted by a foreign national at the Marsa Open Centre, the police said today.
The assault took place at around 00:30.
Officers from the Rapid Intervention Unit and district police were called to the site.
The Maltese man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital with serious injuries. The other man, 31, who is a resident of the centre, was arrested.
Investigations are ongoing.
