Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to making Malta's first experience at the European Union presidency "a success".
In a one-minute video on Facebook, Muscat said that anyone from a taxi driver to a hotel employee, to ministers and experts gave their all for this experience to be a success.
He said Malta has been greatly praised for its efforts and this is due to the great contribution given by all those involved.
Malta's six-month term came to an end yesterday. As from today, Estonia has taken over the rotating EU presidency.
