PN leadership hopeful Adrian Delia today met with MZPN, the PN's youth group, and he explained that youths should be the catalysts for a new way of doing politics.
He reminded those present that he was active in MZPN when the party.
He said that the time for MZPN to be the protagonists of change is now. "Thousands of youths voted PN in the last general election because they believe that this is their natural home. This wave of enthusiasm needs to grow," Delia added.
Delia spoke about the challenges that youths face - precarious work and low wages, among other things. On civil liberties, Delia said that the PN was always a tolerant party and embraced diversity. He mentioned his pledge that, if elected leader, he will open a discussion in the PN's parliamentary group to reach an agreement on which moral issues should be given free vote or not. "At that point, we should call on the government and Partit Demokratiku to do the same," he concluded.
