Delia attending anti-corruption demo, Maria Efimova to address crowd through recorded message

Nationalist Party Leader Adrian Delia will be attending this afternoon's anti-corruption protest in Valletta, The Malta Independent can confirm.

This will be the first time he will attend an anti-corruption demonstration since being elected party leader in September of last year.

Today's event, which is being organized by Occupy Justice and Awturi, will also be addressed by Russian whistleblower Maria Efimova, through a recorded video message.

The demo will start at 4pm in Castille Square, in front of the Office of the Prime Minister. The organizers this morning updated the list of speakers, which is made up of Emma Portelli Bonnici, Maria Efimova, PD MP Godfrey Farrugia, Nationalist MEP David Casa, Alexander Hili and Rachel Williams.

Delia was himself the target of writings by Daphne Caruana Galizia and has so far stayed away from protests held in the wake of her murder.

The PN Leader tweeted: "We the people shall stand tall and march Together. We shall persevere, till the end, till the truth is told. Till justice prevails."
