No one injured as light aircraft suffers landing mishap - airport operations unaffected

No one was injured when a light aircraft suffered a landing mishap.

Malta International Airport confirmed that a small plane was involved in an incident upon landing at around 3.30pm.

Emergency teams were dispatched to the area as a precautionary measure, MIA said, adding that there were no injuries. 

"While movements on Runway 23/05 have been temporarily suspended, airport operations have not been affected by this incident," MIA said.
