The total number of reported criminal offences reduced slightly in 2017 when compared to 2016.
Home Affairs Minister Michael Farrugia and criminologist Saviour Formosa presented the annual crime report for the year 2017. The presentation showed that in 2017, a total of 17,136 crimes were reported, 162 reports less than 2016.
