Patrijotti chairman challenges PM Muscat for public debate on immigration

Moviment Patrijotti Maltin chairman Henry Battistino has challenged Prime Minister Joseph Muscat for a debate, a movement statement said this morning.

Last Sunday, speaking in Marsa, the PM invited the movement to come up with solutions on the immigration problem.

The movement said it accepted the invitation and challenged the PM for a debate on "immigration, security and unsustainable population issues".

The movement is prepared to organise the debate between Battistino and Muscat where the issue will be discussed "serenely while the public present could follow the proceedings."

The movement said it hoped Muscat will stick to his invitation.
