The Nationalist Party will continue discussions with the Chamber of Architects to create a long-term plan regarding development around Malta and Gozo, PN Leader Adrian Delia has said.
He held a meeting with a delegation from the chamber. Delia stressed on the importance of having better long-term planning when it comes to construction, in order to ensure that the infrastructure is adequate for the future, in order to ensure that what is built today becomes a legacy for tomorrow which respects the environment and historical buildings.
He said that this long-term plan must occur to see what construction is needed in the future, according to the needs of the people.
President of the Chamber of Architects Alex Torpiano said that development in Malta must not only be measured from an economic aspect, but on how it would raise the standard of living for people. He noted that development, planning and construction have an impact on people's happiness.
