Watch: Firefighters in lucky escape as wall collapses during tree-cutting operation

Two members of the Civil Protection Department escaped unharmed this afternoon when a falling tree trunk brought a stone wall crashing down.

The CPD personnel were working to remove a dangerous tree that was jutting out onto the road near the Lija cemetery.

A Net News cameraman caught the moment when part of a tree fell, sending bricks and corrugated sheets flying. The quick footed firemen managed to jump out of the way just in time. A photographer who was snapping the tree-cutting operation was also lucky.
