Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to address Labour Day mass meeting

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat will today address the traditional Labour Day mass meeting, being held at the recently refurbished Triton Square, right outside Valletta's main entrance.

A sea of people are in attendance in a show of support for the administration, which has been subject to heavy criticism, both locally and internationally.

Government has recently come under fire on a number of fronts, including through the recent Daphne Project revelations regarding OPM Chief of Staff Keith Schembri and Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi, The controversy surrounding statements made by V18s top men which have resulted in international condemnation, and recent criticism regarding the investigation into the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

The Prime Minister is expected to address the crowd at 5.30 pm.
