A Maltese man was stopped while driving a van in Santa Venera yesterday afternoon, and 84kg of suspected cannabis was found hidden away, the police said.
The drugs were found on clothing which was tucked away in some furniture on board.
Another man was arrested following a police investigation in relation with this case. Both men are being held by the police due to ongoing investigations.
Magistrate Neville Camilleri is leading an inquiry,.
