A Sicilian man has been denied bail after being charged with the attempted murder of a co-national in an apartment in St. Julian's last night.
22 year old Daniele Vitale was arraigned before magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace this morning, accused of the attempted murder of Mirko Putile, causing him grievous bodily harm with a knife. He was also charged with breaching the peace.
Lawyers Franco Debono and Marion Camilleri entered a not guilty plea on the man's behalf.
Bail was denied as witnesses had not yet testified.
