A driver of a car which was involved in a collision with a motorbike early this morning made off after the accident, the police said.
The collision took place in Haddiem Road, Marsa, at 12.30am.
It involved a motorbike driven by a 56-year-old of Tarxien and another car, whose driver escaped after the impact.
The biker was assisted by members of the Civil Protection Department before he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The police are investigating.
