A dog that was frontally hit by an arrow was saved by a surgical intervention in the United States, international media report.
Lola, five months old, was found in pain by its owner after she was hit by an arrow, which passed between her eyes and emerged from her back.
The arrow avoided hitting the dog's vital organs.
She was taken to the Paws and Claws Animal Clinic in Columbus, South Carolina, where the arrow was removed.
Lola was returned to her family and is recovering.
The clinic is offering compensation for information about the perpetrator.
