A 30-year-old man from Paola was seriously injured this afternoon when vehicle he was under and working on falls on him. The accident took place at around 2pm on Triq l-Industrija in Qormi.
The Civil Protection department was called on the scene to help free him, after which he was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified as having been seriously injured.
Duty Magistrate Dr. A.M. Grima is conducting an inquiry and has assisted a number of experts to assist. Police investigations are also underway.
