The Nationalist Party has appealed to all political parties and the social partners to, "given that there is no case for abortion, start the process so that the rights for unborn children be recognised, protected and strengthened."
The PN, in a statement, said that in a modern and advanced society, one must strengthen the rights of those most vulnerable.
The PN said it remains committed to putting forward policies to protect the unborn child, while also making Malta a model for the EU where the unborn child is given dignity and respect.
