On a day which began with more allegations about the medical visa scandal on two papers, and which continued with a blanket denial by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat who claimed he knew nothing of the scandal, the Leader of the Opposition contradicted the PM's claim.
Without referring directly to the PM's statement, Dr Busuttil said he could prove Dr Muscat knew about the allegations.
A year ago, at a meeting of the Security Committee, he (Dr Busuttil) had raised the issue and asked if there was any truth about allegations of corruption in the issuing of medical visas. He had also asked if anything had been done about these allegations.
