A 73-year-old man from Vittoriosa suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a small van earlier today.
The police said the incident took place ta Triq Tal-Ħawli in Vittoriosa at around 1030am.
The elderly man was hit by a Citroen Berlingo van that was reversing. A 31-year-old man from Żurrieq was behind the wheel.
The victim was taken to hospital where he was certified to be suffering from serious injuries but is not in danger of dying. The police are investigating.
