The personal threats against a Libyan whistleblower revealed by The Malta Independent today are "grievous and fascist" acts, the Nationalist Party said in a statement.
The PN said the government boasted of implementing the whistleblower law, but is allowing a person who is revealing sensitive information about a corruption scandal to be threatened.
The PN insisted that the person involved is given protection by the police and that the police and attorney general should take steps on these allegations.
A criminal person's place is in jail, not at Castille, the PN said. Today's developments confirm that the country needed to get rid of criminals who hold positions of power.
