The parliamentary television channel will be airing the first episode of an informational television programme, produced by the Office of the Speaker, on Friday 2 September at 1pm. The aim of this initiative is for citizens to become more aware about the work being done by MPs elected to the House of Representatives.
The theme of the pilot episode, relating to its institutional procedures, concerns parliamentary questions, which is the first procedure that every parliamentary session begins with and serves as a tool for MPs to scrutinise the work of the executive. Speaker of the House of Representatives Anglu Farrugia, together with whips from both parliamentary groups, Godfrey Farrugia and David Agius, will be participating.
Information regarding the launching of a future project that is being organised in collaboration with the Department of Intelligent Computer Systems, from the faculty of ICT at the University of Malta will also be provided.
