Preparations to start for embellishment works for Pjazza Tritoni

Earlier today, works started on the area surrounding the Triton Fountain by the Grand Harbour Regeneration Corporation, so that by the end of this week infrastructural works on the first phase of the project may begin. This news was announced by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Joe Mizzi.

Throughout the beginning phases, buses will not be affected by works, however arrangements will be made for those walking by the affected site.

This work should lead to a number of trees being relocated by the end of October.

The first phase of the project should lead to the building of a new roundabout in front of the Education Division – Great Siege Road, following which a number of new services will be installed such as water, drainage, telecommunications and the building of a new pavement of 700 metres in front of the Phoenicia Hotel.
