A crane toppled over onto a building site in Bahar ic-Caghaq after part of the road one of its stabilising arms was resting on caved in.
Part of the crane hit a neighbouring house as it fell onto its side at the site in Triq is-Sikka.
Nobody was hurt in the accident, police said.
