Law Courts to close early on day of Daphne’s funeral

The law courts will stop working at noon and fly the flag at half-mast on Friday, when the funeral of murdered journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia will be held.

A black sash will also be attached to the main door.

Magistrates and judges have been told that only urgent cases that crop up on the day will be heard in the afternoon.

Caruana Galizia was killed in a car bomb explosion on 16 October. Her funeral will be held on Friday afternoon in Mosta. The family have told the media not to cover the funeral.
