The approaches made by the two European Cultural Capital cities for 2018 could not have been more different, German international broadcaster DW (Deutsche Welle) reports.
Whereas, Leeuwarden in the northern Netherlands, has taken the opportunity to create a "social experiment … where sustainability, diversity and social justice will be addressed in numerous exhibitions, workshops and performances", the DW speaks of Malta concentrating on entertainment, festivals and a fashion show.
