A business breakfast organised by The Malta Business Weekly in conjunction with the European Commission in Malta is taking place at the Hilton Malta.
The main subject of the business breakfast is on the European Pillars of Social Rights, asking what implications this will have on Malta.
Stefan Olsson, the Director General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion for the EU Commission, will be the keynote speaker, and will look at the challenges ahead for the employment and social situations across Europe; the implementation of the European Pillars of Social Rights, and some highlights on Malta from the Social Scoreboard.
Antonella Gatt, who is one of Malta's permanent representatives to the European Union within the social policy and employment attaché, will also be addressing the subject.
Josann Cutajar will be another speaker during the activity. Cutajar is a senior lecturer within the Faculty of Social Wellbeing at the University of Malta, focusing especially on the subject of gender studies.
