The heavy rain that hit the Maltese islands in the past hours has exposed how dirty our streets are.
Rubbish that has been allowed to accumulate over several weeks was carried away by the rainwater, ending up in our drainage system and in the sea.
This video, uploaded on Facebook by Jason Zammit, shows the amount of waste that ended up on the side of the road in Hamrun this morning.
