The number of women who registered for work the first time in 2018 was 4,884, Minister for Education Employment Evarist Bartolo said in Parliament Monday evening.
A question was asked by PN MP Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici regarding the number of women who are currently employed in 2018, and out of that number how many of these are registered as working for the first time, and those who joined the workforce after a period of unemployment. He also asked how many are employed in full-time and part-time work.
The information provided by Jobsplus, reflects upon the months between January and June of this year. The number of women who joined the workforce for the first time equaled 4,884, full-timers being 3,483, whilst 1,401 are regirsterd as part-time.
The figure reflecting those women who returned back to work after a period of five years or more of unemployment, equaled 803. The number of those who retured as full timers currently stood at 382, whilst the number of part-timers stood at 421.
