Four people were injured in three separate accidents between Saturday evening and early Sunday morning.
In the first incident, a Yamaha XP500 motorcycle that was being dreiven by a 45-year-old man from Birzebbugia collided with a Peugeot 107 that was being driven by a 29-year-old man, also from Birzebbugia. The accident took place in Triq Birzebbugia, at around 6pm on Saturday evening.
The motorcyclist was hospitalised with grievous injuries.
Another accident took place in Triq ix-Xatt, Pieta`, at around 3.15am on Sunday. A 57-year-old Eritrean man lost control of his Toyota Corolla, crashing into a crash barrier. The driver, 35, and another Eritrean man, 38, were both hospitalised. The driver suffered grievous injuries while the other man suffered slight injuries.
The third accident took place in Vjal Sir Paul Boffa, Paola, when a 57-year-old man from Paola was hit by a Toyota Corolla that was being driven by a 46-year-old man from Birkirkara. He suffered grievous injuries.
All three cases are being investigated by the police.
