The Syrian man who was critically injured after falling five storeys earlier this month died in hospital, the police said.
The 22-year-old resident of Birkirkara had fallen down a shaft in a block of apartments in Gzira.
He had been taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was kept in intensive care. He succumbed to his injuries this morning.
