Independent MP Marlene Farrugia today said she would be attending the Labour Party's May Day celebrations on Sunday, three weeks after taking part in the Nationalist Party's protest against corruption. "I will celebrate with workers and employers, families and friends and spread the word that might should be used to do what is right, and not that might itself is right," Dr Farrugia wrote on her Facebook wall. But Dr Farrugia made it clear that her presence at the meeting in Valletta on Sunday was also a sign of protest against the Labour leadership, especially in the wake of the Panama Papers scandal. She added: "My presence will also remind those present that Labour lives and is not the Panamafonseca gang on stage." Addressing a protest organised by the PN on April 10, the independent MP said: "We need to act to address the contempt to Malta's reputation which the Prime Minister has brought."
