Recently, we took an English friend of ours to Gozo. An absolutely lovely day looking around and doing the usual attractions and ending up with what we thought would be the icing on the cake: id-Dwejra. But what a shock! One building looks like something from Popeye village, a brown wooden structure that was closed down. Another seemed to be trying to do some business in a very run-down construction. And what about the incomplete boathouses? That part of Gozo could become the crowning glory of the island. So many tourists were arriving and they looked lost as to what to do when they got...
