Customs officials stationed yesterday at the Express Freight Office, in Luqa, seized a parcel containing suspicious substance, which upon further tests turned out to be cannabis.
The officials made the discovery while carrying inspections at a courier's receiving depot. The parcel arrived from Germany and was heading to an address in St Julian's.
Upon physically inspecting the parcel officials discovered the substance which tested positive for cannabis, the department said in a statement.
The Police Drug Squad was duly informed who commenced their investigations.
