Four persons were injured, two of them seriously, in a traffic accident in Tarxien on Monday evejing, the police said.
An Opel Tigra driven by a 20-year-old man of Zabbar, a Honda Civic driven by a 21-year-old man of Zurrieq and a Hyundai I10 driven by a 64-year-old man of Tarxien were involved in a crash at 9pm in San Anard Street.
A 16-year-old Bulgarian girl who resides in Saint Paul's Bay was a passenger in the Opel Tigra and a 61-year-old woman from Tarxien was a passenger in the Hyundai. They were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Two of the drivers – aged 20 and 64 – suffered slight injuries while the third driver was unhurt.
