Blood pressure pills by the name of Candesartan have replaced the Valsartan pills in the Pharmacy of Your Choice scheme, and all pharmacies are stocked with the new medicine, the Health Ministry said.
All persons eligible for blood pressure pills will be given supplies for one month.
An 8mg Candesartan pill is equivalent to one 80mg Valsartan pill, while one 16mg Candesartan pill is the same as a 160mg Valsartan pill.
