Three men have been remanded in custody after being charged over a burglary and a number of thefts in Gozo, the police said.
In one case, a 25-year-old man from Hamrun and a 33-year-old man from Santa Venera were charged with burgling a house in Nadur on Sunday, stealing items worth over €2,000. They were also accused of receiving stolen items, causing damage to the property and relapsing.
The men pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Paul Coppini remanded them in custody.
In another case, which also took place on Sunday, a 26-year-old Libyan man from Victoria was charged with having stolen a mobile phone and, in a separate case with stealing money, alcoholic beverages and a tablet from a Munxar restaurant.
He also pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody.
