A woman was seriously injured early this morning when she was hit by a car in St Julian's the police said.
The accident took place in St George's Road at 3.30am.
The 30-year-old Russian woman was hit by a Peugeot 607 driven by a 41-year-old man of Marsascala.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech ordered an inquiry.
