A group of immigrants rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta on 31 December 2018 has left Malta for relocation in France.
This relocation follows the ad hoc agreement between the European Commission, Malta, and other EU member states in reaction to the developing humanitarian crisis situation.
Maltese authorities worked with French and other relevant European authorities, as well as the International Organisation for Migration, to cater for all the needs of the immigrants before and during this relocation.
