Two men, 19-year-old Ibrahim Micallef and a 16-year-old admitted to stealing a bag containing clothes from inside a hotel room in Qawra.
Micallef also stood accused of committing a crime while under a suspended sentence from another crime.
The defence was led by lawyers Franco Debono and Amadeus Cachia, who asked for treatment and care due to several problems. The prosecution agreed with this and the court granted their requests.
Micallef was given a 3-year probation order, while his suspended sentence was extended. The 16-year-old was given a 3-year probation order.
