The Secretary of the General Workers' Union's Government and Parastatal Workers' Section Jeremy Camilleri has resigned from his role within the Union.
The union said in a statement that in his resignation letter Camilleri had said that resigning had not been an easy decision, but that after many years working within the trade union sector he was ready for new challenges elsewhere.
The union thanked Camilleri for his many years of service and said that he would continue to help the GWU until his successor is appointed.
