
The Ramblers' Association has launched the Spring Walk Programme (April to July) with over 45 walks mainly on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays ably led by experienced and highly-knowledgeable walk leaders. The treks include historical and scenic routes through some of the finest and most exhilarating zones covering the full extent of the Maltese archipelago including Comino. The many innovative features explore also the rich archaeological, geological and ecclesiastical heritage that dots our countryside as well as exciting forays to remote scenic locations and a trail that includes some notable rural areas. The spring walks, mainly of three to four hours' duration and graded according to the state of the terrain, reveal that there are particular zones which, apart from their breathtaking natural beauty, are an acknowledged cornucopia of outstanding archaeological and historical sites.
