Three in hospital after traffic accident in St Julian’s

Three persons are in hospital after a head-on crash in St Andrew's Road, St Julian's, early this morning, the police said in a statement.

The accident happened at 12.30am when a Renault Megane driven by a 19-year-old of Mosta, who had a 17-year-old girl of Santa Venera with him as a passenger, was involved in a collision with a Ford Kuga, driven by a 19-year-old of St Paul's Bay.

The two teenagers were found to have suffered grievous injuries, with the man in critical condition, while the 29-year-old suffered slight injuries.

Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech is conducting an inquiry.
