The Dragonara Casino has reopened following a €10 million overhaul of its entire gaming infrastructure. As part of the upgrade, the entire casino layout has been redesigned, with a specific poker section, VIP lounge for private gaming and a new sports betting lounge. The Dragonara Casino first opened its doors on July 15 1964 and was one of the first major projects to establish Malta as a tourist destination. It is set within the 1870 summer residence of the Scicluna family. Dragonara Casino managing director Johann Schembri said the casino was excellently positioned to be @one of the most sought-after casinos in Europe."
