Strong explosion rocks Gudja - believed to be fireworks blast

A powerful explosion has rocked Gudja in what is believed to have been a fireworks factory explosion. The blast took place at about 4.20 pm and was heard as far away at Lija. Gudja is currently celebrating the feast known as Taċ-Ċintura The police confirmed receiving reports of an explosion but said they were still investigating its source. It is not known if there were casualties.
