An English woman died after feeling unwell following a diving exercise in Gozo, the police said.
The 43-year-old was taken to hospital in Gozo at around 6.45pm on Saturday.
She had been diving with a group of friends at Xatt l-Ahmar, in the limits of Ghajnsielem.
The woman felt unwell after she came out of the water and lost consciousness. She was taken to Mgarr Harbour and later to Gozo hospital, where she died some time later,
Magistrate Joanne Vella Cuschieri is conducting an investigation.
