Man seriously injured after being stabbed in St Julian’s

A man was seriously injured this morning when he was stabbed in St Julian's the police said.

In a statement, the police said the man, a Sicilian aged 22, turned up at the St Julian's police station saying he had been attacked by another person.

The police officers on duty noticed that the man was bleeding and an ambulance was called. Preliminary investigations discovered that the Sicilian man had been involved in an argument with another man in an apartment in Forrest Street.

The Sicilian man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Marseann Vella is conducting an inquiry.
